2 Days left for "R only" Expo registration
Yup - 12/31 is the last day for R's to register AND PAY before it's open to non-R owners. We welcome both, but if you want a Type R Expo, time is running out.
So far:
7 PAID
21 additional PENDING (these spots are not held until payment received)
There are a few of you who have sent me notice that your check HAS BEEN SENT. We appreciate your efforts.
tick tock, tick tock
I've got 4 cases of Yuengling in the basement & I'm ready for the Eagles in the superbowl!!!

the title of my paypal transaction is 'Single Normal Student Registration - expo5' so i would say put that in your subject.
let's go people, there is no point in waiting to see if the event will happen. it will be decided on jan 24 if the event will go ahead or not and if it doesn't you will get a full refund.

Look at that...Andrew shows "Paid"...amazing technology ain't it? (**cough cough - paypal**)
I know you told me you'd do it today.
Look boys - we are up to 9 paid in only 30 minutes of trying. No arms broken, no knees blown (no offense Opie)...

how many more do you need in the next 2 days in order to confirm an R only Expo?
I'll be honest I am interested in going but have no desire to send in my money and have to deal with what looks to be a refund situation in a few months. I'll bet I'm not the only one in that situation either. Sorry guys...

I respect sneaky, but this is an example of the attitude that will result in one thing for sure - event cancellation.

With that kind of attitude, there would never have been an ITR Expo. If you want to go to this kind of event - with lots and lots of ITRs - then sign up. If everyone who's interested does so, then it will take place, just like in past years, and pretty much everyone who attends will have a HUGE amount of fun and be happy that they did (and people who miss it will be sorry).
If everyone sits back because they're worried that it might be cancelled and they might get their money refunded, well... that's like keeping your ITR in the garage all the time because you're afraid if you drive it somewhere, it might get in an accident or be stolen. What fun is that??? If you want to stay home and never go out because you're afraid that something bad might happen, you're never going to have any fun in life.
Sorry, but that's about the worst excuse for not signing up that I've ever heard.

YOu know....its sad that there are more non-ITR owners ready to register for Expo th3n there are ITR owners. This event is for you guys...just watch Evan's teaseR from last year and try and tell yourself that you would not have the time of your life. Great memories, great experience, great people.....what more can you ask for. And for those crying about the drive...the caravans are often the best part...
for those who are debating the event....please help make this happen

Don't confuse my comment with attitude. If anything, respect the fact I have the ***** to say what a lot more people here are thinking. Thats evident by the descending amount of registration and participation over the last two years. (Last years and this one).
There is always great hype over the Expo, lots of people saying great and lets get it moving but no one really does step up. (No dis-respect to those organizing) Feel free to look through the threads, I am not one of those people. Not that I'm not interested, but I've seen whats happened over the past 2-3 years with regards to the Expo.
The best I can tell you is atleast I'm willing to ask the questions to find out answers. A lot more people aren't interested in attending and won't say anything, and no one has even answered my question about a "Type R only" expo. How many more people do we need to ensure this over the next two days?
Regardless, I hope things come through with the Expo and people get to meet and learn from each other as they have in the past. Good luck!

Every year we've had a successful event. Hell, after last years unfortunate debacle of 3 tracks we were really pleased about the turn out.
Mr Rogers - phrase of the day = "Self-Fulfilling Prophecy"
Pay up.
**Interestingly enough, nearly 20 non-itrs are waiting for January 1 to pay.

why can't people just use their own brainpower to figure these things out for themselves? why does everything always have to be spoon fed?

Because we all aren't as smart as you apparently.
I didn't know if the instructors counted as cars towards the 65 car total required, and if that would be the case it wouldn't equal 65. Then again, my brainpower is lacking now-a-days.

I don't care if it's attitude or just thoughts really. That kind of, call it whatever you want, will result in one thing - event cancellation.
Is that better now? Both result in the same thing.
If the community does not support the event then there should not even be an attempt to create the event.

JeffS: There was no need to delete your post. My point is simply that for the past two years there has been so much **** from those not involved doing nothing but bitching and a lack of support from the community. If the community lacks support for an event, even with different head organizers, then why should we continue to bother until support for the event comes back? It's not like Wes, Trey, Lance, Jeff, myself, etc only spend 5 hours on the event or something. There is a HUGE amount of time commited to bringing the community an event. It's time that I haven't had time to spend on it this year as much as I'd like to due to work, but I still get annoyed at a lack of support for something that, in the past, I've spent countless hours on. Considering that we get nothing except enjoyment (after the event anyways) from it I have to admit that it makes me reconsider wanting to spend any time on it in the future.
If you feel it's not a lack of support for the "Expo" but rather just for the "event", please find those who can create an event to get the support that is plainly lacking in the last two years and convince them to run it.

Sorry I havn't registered. The future Mrs. and I are in the process of buying a house, so some things have to be sacrificed... I will definitely try to attend however.
