Default B16 vs Type R pistons!!!

Ok me and my mechinc have been at it for a while and this is what we have been arguing about WHY ARE B16 PISTONS BETTER THAN TYPE R PISTONS ON A ALL MOTOR LS BLOCK. And this is what he tells me...Why go with PR3's and P30 wich they have only 10:2 and 10:4 while the P73A0 and P7300 have 11:1 and 10:8 on their original engines please fill me in why go with B16 pistons?????Help i need to make a combat cuz i read and search that b16 are the way to go if i want to make better CP on a all motor ls but i need to facts to why is that cuz as u see the Compresion ratio on B16's are lower than the Type R's??????

Due to the specific internal dimensions of each engine the B16A requires a tall compression height with their pistons to achieve the stock compression ratio. The B18C requires a much lower compression height to achieve the same, or even more compression. In the same instance, the B16B requires even more compression height than the B16A. The taller compression height of the B16A pistons naturally raises the compression more than the B18C pistons will.
