Default b16 swap: what to do with these two o2 sensors?

swap info:
1st gen b16a into 94 del sol si (originally d16z6)

problem:
i have searched and searched and have found nothing that i am looking for yet. i might just be "search-challenged" but i can't find anything to help me out here. i have 2 o2 sensors in my exahust manifold, as you well know, and my car only originally came with one o2 sensor in the bottom of the manifold/header. i have read that i need to run an extra wire for this second sensor and i have also read that i need to convert to a 2/4 wire something or other?

basically, i just need some info on this from someone that actually knows rather than my stupid *** trying to find something and getting nowhere/it being the wrong info.

gotta get this thing running in 2 days or less, so any info is GREATLY appreciated.
thanks

what if one doesn't have a cat? (not saying that i don't :wink wink

BOTH of them are in the exhaust manifold/header. one has a round plug, the other is squared. what do i do to make both function?

if i remmeber correctly, for an obd1 car, you only need one in the header. the one for the cat doesnt do **** unless u have obd2. even then, you could just do an o2sim.

Have a bung welded to your test pipe. When I had my eg6 I recall it having 2 o2's. I still have my old cat with the sensor stuck in it as a matter of fact.

if you got the obd2 you could get a secondary o2 sensor eleminitor thingy other wise you just need the one

Something doesnt add up right. Your OBDI should not have 2 o2 sensors. you should only have 1

Maybe its for the japanese model. Because when I had my car over seas I had one on the header and one on the cat.

If you read this right he is asking if he needs another O2 sensor, the car only has ONE and the exhaust mainfold has 2 holes.

answer = weld one up so the hole is closed and use the other one for your Sensor

i considered that but would that matter that it would only read 2 cylinders instead of all 4 (like it used to?)

exahaust manifold is the stock JDM 1st gen b16a manifold.

p30 or p28 is obd1 only required 1 o2 sensor. as for you manifold got 2 holes like early post had stated you need to cap one and use one for the o2 sensor.
