TIMING BELT HELP!!
Ok, my problem is in my b16a2 my timing belt skipped a tooth. Theres a spring to tighten the timing belt and what not, I had to reatach the spring and when i was putting it into place the spring stretched, it made a KLANG kinda noise. What can i do to fix this!?
That sucks. I have had that happen to me before.
First thing would be to fish out all of the pieces of the spring and the sleeve that goes over it. If you don't the pieces could damage your belt.
The spring is not 100% necessary to have on there. It is more of a convenience so atleast you wont be stranded without a car. Just push the tensioner over with a long screwdriver to get the correct tension.

The spring helps you set the tension then you tighten the bolt.
Its hard to tell in this pic but the hole that goes through the center of the tensioner is oval shaped. You adjust the tension, then you tighten the bolt and its set.

Hehe that spring would have to be a hell of a lot stronger to hold the tension if thats what it was there for.
