is it posable to build a jdm d15b vtec to run with a b18b. Both are in a EF
I want to drop in a JDM D15b Vtec in my EF and run my friend with a B18b. I want to build it because they say there is no chance for me to win with it. My brother has a EF with with a SOCH Vtec and he said that there is no way I can beat him or the B18b. Does any one have a JDM D15b Vtec that runs a good time and if so could you give me some info on building one?
Nitrous is the quickest way to beat a b18b. Or you can build your motor and than turbo it and anally rape him. There are alot of options for you. Good start on the d15b
well its all really about tuning.i have smoked quite a few turbo sohc civics with a stock b16 in my 91 hb.it could be because they cant drive for ****,but to answer the question yes with boost you can hang.
All right so i gotta suggestion for you, and if you know the right people, could be pretty cheap, In this case i myself took a d16z6, and bored it over, threw some zc pistons in it, and used a dx tranny with b16 ecu, the boring and and pistons totaled out to just under 350.00, not including labor, i did it myself.....(assembly any ways)....the bigger pistons made for a high compression ratio of 12.5-1, and the b16 ecu, made that motor scream all the way to 8,200 rpms... and as far as quick go's 14.2 all motor, on street tires, spinning all through first and grabn half through 2nd.....lol... seriously your b18 boys have no clue on wut a single cam can do!!!! the car was a 90 hatch-gutted...Do it man, and then post your story on how you spanked 'em both!!! hahahahahahah!
