What size is the bolt to get the brake rotor off?

35mm?

I already got the rotor off but im replacing one of my studs for my lugs because one broke.

Well, on 4th gen, the hub nut is 36mm. 5th gen should be the same, but since I don't own one, I can't tell you for sure. If nothing else, buy a 36, try it, and if it's not the same as 4gen, take it back.

 

just in case you need to know, the rear is a different size of 32 mm

 

well I did try the 36..its slightly loose..

I went to Home Depot, Sears/Craftsman and no one had a 35mm.....

wth?

Guess I'll just take it to a local shop...

Any other suggestions?

did the 36mm socket slip off cause it was to loose? my 36 mm was a little loose too but it's so big of a socket that it didn't slip when i tried to remove the axle nuts.

if you're not happy using the 36, you could try to guess and check to find a standard size that you can tap or hammer on.
