JDM Fog / Driving Lights on USDM 89 CRX universal? replica? oem?
while searching around looking at the JDM conversions i've fallen in love with the yellow-ish jdm fog lights and think they'd look pretty nice on my flat black beater.
the thing is... this is my beater. i can't justify spending $100+ on a set of lights when they aren't going to get me any better gas mileage or reliability....
but... me being a ricer at heart, i want this look. i noticed on the older 3 series bimmers they have hella (i think hella) fog lights that might work... just need to pain the lense yellow and get yellow bulbs... i'd like that to be a last resort though.
does anyone make replica jdm fog lights for the crx?
can anyone think of any other vehicles that come with yellow fog lights from the factory? junkyards should be prices pretty reasonable for a couple lights i'd think.
how about a universal light that is pretty close to the jdm style (dimensions, color, glass lense, etc)?
any help would be appreciated. i don't want to paint "clear" lights yellow/amber because i know it'll just fade or chip off eventually....
thanks in advance

These are mine, i got them from autozone and they were less then 30 bucks, the light is def useful at night along w/ my lowbeams and i wired them to a stock Si foglight switch, def worth 30 bucks
.
i had never really paid attention to it before but my bumper....

has no "holes" beneath the blinkers in the bumper like yours does.... i'm going to have to install these in the "mouth" of the bumper.... that sucks... but i think it'll still look nice and i'm down with anything that will make night driving any easier....

if you take the bumper cover off, you'll find templates marked on the back for the foglight cutouts.
edit: at least my car has them

hummm.... so if the car didn't come from the factory/dealer with foglights the bumper is just like mine?
so basically.... in your bumper... you just have two holes cut in the cover.... no fancy insert or anything... just a hole?

Will this work with a hatchy? Does anybody know if they have the lines ?

theres enough back there to line up the cuts on both sides, i wouldnt say theres a "template", but theres enough there to make it look good.
we did a 91 hatch bumper cover replacements on my bros 89 std. no fogs, but when it was off we noticed lots of ridges.
