Whats the best intake swap i can do?
I have a 89 honda dx hatchback with a d15b2, it has the PGM-FI intake with with carb on top..Pretty gross looking set-up. I also cant put my strut tower bar on bcz the carb sits to high. I was wondering if there was another intake i could put on this? What is it called? How much? How much work do i have to do? I'd like the one that takes less work to put in. Thanks
First off there is no carb on your 89 dx. The black box in the middle is a chamber which quiets and restricts airflow into the throttle body. Secondly it has dual point fuel injection which does not respond well to modifications. I would suggest first doing the mpfi swap and then get an intake. Any 88-91 civic/crx intake will work on your car with a little tinkering. But I would first do the mpfi swap as in my opinion this is the best bang for the buck mod for a dpfi car on a budget.
Search mpfi swap on here and you shoudl find a ton of info.
Good Luck
