I've searched and searched, and I've found the wiring diagrams, and all that jazz.
What I am looking for SPECIFICALLY is if anyone has made a step by step picture guided install thread, showing the wiring noobs exactly what to do. Im not so much looking for myself, but I've seen SOOOO many posts where people request this and get no answers, and I feel bad because they are obviously clueless as to what to do, or could possibly settle for a hacked up wiring job.
I am going to be doing the install here myself in a week or so, and if there isnt a picture step by step guide, then I am going to do my best to make one and have it made sticky. I'm not a wiring genious, but still..I think this could be useful to other members as it has got to be one of the most popular questions besides "how much power will I make" or "how fast will my 1/4 mile time be".
Any insight..?

Well, instead of buying the harnesses that IPS sells, I am going to make my own. I will post pictures later with the beginning steps. I bought female quick connects from radio shack, wire (coinciding w/ the JDM wire colors) and some GOOD crimpers. I actually dont have the car yet, I'm picking it up on Tuesday, but when I wire those up, I will definitely finish the tutorial. So far ive spent just under 30 dollars which is half the price of the IPS harnesses.

Alright, well I've got pictures so far on how to make the wiring harness. Is there anyone that can host them for me? My photobucket account has exceeded bandwidth for the month.
Yes, I have an idea about how to do it, but I would really like to see some ideas of others or even detailed picture instructions. Let's see em!
This is an easy task. Easier than you think. I'm strictly going off the top of my head here so there may be a few details that aren't exact.
The HID kit comes with two bulbs, two ballasts - possibly one, and wiring. Let's start at the bulbs. The bulbs will obviously go into the head light housing from there the wires are going to run to the ballasts. The Ballast works like an amp where it's going to build up and store more energy (power) than what is being supplied to it. So these ballasts need to be wired to a power source, and a return source so you don't catch your car and house on fire. This is a simple sollution because if I remember correctly, the power and return from your stock head lights will work fine. The reasons I think this is the case is because if you wired the ballasts directly to a 12V source your head lights would be on all the time and your battery would die. Since this would be a primative installation with no way to turn them on and off from the car, I feel the manufactuars intended the end user (you) to be able to wire directly to the factory wires for the stock head lights.
Aloha,
Brandon

This is correct. I just recently re-wired everything using the stock harness on my car. A simple search on this board will find you the diagrams
Since you don't have the harness you can do the female ends as suggested by another member. There is a thread with the wiring diagram that shows which plug will be for which light. Though...on there, the one that states "city lights". This will also be the same for your parking lights too
If you already have a foglight set up and no longer wish to use it...you can simply just use the relay off of that to plug into your JDM headlight assembly. Or....just buy a relay ( I bought mine from piaa ) and wire that up like you would any other foglight. The rest is self explanatory. Hope that helps.

I just recently installed my jdm front end and still have to wire up my hid's. Right now only the highs are wired up. I can do the turning signals myself and for the foglights I'm going to wait until my foglight switch gets here. Anyway my headlights came with the wiring harnesses already on them so the wires from the ballast are already connected. I have about 3 wires left that I have to connect (besides where the turning signals are). 2 are red wires with a yellow strip and one is a red wire with a black strip. Now I'm guessing that the 2 wires that are red with a yellow strip are for the hid's and the city lights. In order to wire these up, do I just connect them to my stock low beam wiring? Sorry if it sounds confusing, here's a pic of what I'm talking about (my camera is shitty).
