Do i need upgraded springs and retainers for this???plz help

ok I just bought buddy club spec 3 plus cams and gears today. The guy I got them from said i can run this set up on STOCK valvetrain. I have a b18c1 motor.

Depends on how you treat your motor...if you commute a lot without much Vtec(running mostly on primary and secondary lobes) then you should be fine. If you're a guy that has to hit Vtec every other stop sign, then get valve springs and retainers.

How long ---- no one could anwser that question, because every motor is different. The money you invested in the cams is worth the extra for springs and retainers. Think of it as INSURANCE
