Default !Wierd scraping noise!

I have a 92 eg. The other day i started to notice this wierd noise coming from the rear. Right or left i am not sure. It is similar to how the brakes sound when they are metal to metal but i know its not the brakes. What is wierd is that the sound does not go to the speed of the wheels. What i mean by that is that when i am doing about 70-75 i hear no more than 2 scrapes per second and another thing is that i only begin to notice the sound when i go above 35. Please help the sound is annoying and it is starting to scare me cause i don't know what it is.

Happend in my brothers civic before he found-out what brake-fluid was. He didnt have enough fluid in his lines to de-compress the calipers. I hope you're not as far-behind in maintenance as he was.... but its a shot in the dark.

edit- I know you said its not your brakes... but. Jack the car up and listen to the wheels turn one-by-one. You'll know right-away if this is your problem.

bearing? But that would make it sound more like an airplane than a scraping... If you can put the car up, spin one rear wheel as fast as you can and grab the lower control arm. If you feel vibrations its your bearing.
