does anyone know why we have push button on the radiator caps? is it to let the extra air out in the radiator?

it lets the presure out of the ratiateor so when you open the cap dose go flying. I think that is what you are talking about go run your car around get it hot then park it and open the hood and push it and see if you hear a noise
