Default Koni Yellow/Skunk2 Combo...

Anyone have this combo? What can you say for it? I was going to go with the KYB AGX/Eibach Prokit combo, but I am able to get a great deal on the koni/skunk2 combo. Is there anything bad about either? All comments are helpful - good or bad. BTW, this is my daily driver/weekend racer.

Thanks, jordan

Is it the "dual-spring" (aka helper spring) setup?

What are the spring rates?

Bear in mind that there's no compression adjustment on the koni's.

Sounds great! Just be prepaired for a slightly harsh ride!

Just curious, how much did your car set you back? I would like to find a 4ws.

Harsh? Even on the softest setting?

Also when you say:

what exactly do you mean?

In that case... I paid $4750 for a 92 prelude with 103k miles, I then had another $800 in servicing (radiator, 100k tuneup). Car had new clutch tires etc. The price was extermely under blue book; because when I wrecked a couple weeks ago insurance was willing to give me $5600 in damages - and they didnt even consider totaling the car.

Before I found my car, I was having trouble finding a 4th gen prelude, since they were all selling for around 7-8k, regardless of 4WS. 4WS is very difficult to find BTW, but im sure you know that if you have been looking.

All coilovers are a bit harsh, but it's not unbearable. I've heard that ground controls are better than skunk2, but I've also heard of people who are really happy with the skunk2s. How good of a deal is it?

$385 shipped for koni adjustables with skunk2s already installed on each other. They are used for 15k miles (atleast thats what the guy claims; but i dont know if i believe that), no paperwork but the guy is garenteeing they will work, not to mention the konis are rebuildable. Also this is through paypal where paypal garnuntees the merchandise.

Best price I've seen on konis is from shox.com, that's where I got mine. Email them for a quote.
