Default intake sensor

hey, i just bought a 2000 civic si and all it came with was a short ram intake. I was out cleaning the engine bay today and i noticed that the intake sensor was just laying in the engine and that there was no hole in the intake for it.....just curious if anyone knew what size of drill bit i could use to drill the intake for the sensor......thanks!!!!

You need to find a rubber grommet (local hardware store) that the sensor will fit into. Then drill the hole in the intake according to the size of that grommet.

There is not a space for it?? Thats odd!

Excellent, you have the hard part
Center punch a hole 3-4 inches away from yout TB, and cut a hole the size of the inner portion of the first groove on that grommet. Do you have calipers??

Is everything working properly, if so why do you want to hook it up. Do have a check engine light, because I had that problem when i had my 99 si. I didn't have a place to hook up the sensor, if so just reset the ecu. If thats not the problem, you could have something good like a chipped ecu, or obd1 conversion.

Why wouldn't you want your IAT reading your incoming air?? Most people hate on the IAT resistor mod sold on Ebay....similar concept

Hook it up, your ecu wants the feedback from that sensor
