Default Anybody ever use DH-racing or Benson for sleeving?

I'm looking to get a block sleeved, and I can use my old B18a as a core and pay $1000. Through DH-Racing. I haven't seen how much it is through Benson though.

Anybody got any info or feedback on either company?

Here's DH-Racing's address:
http://www.dh-racing.com/

I don't think Benson Machine has one.

Let me know folks!

Another good place is Golden Eagle for sleeves. You have different choices econo-sleeves, godzilla sleeves and race sleeves. Prices start at like $750.

http://www.goldeneaglemfg.com/sleeving.html

check with some of the sponsors of this site as they offer specials on sleeving services.

THanks anyway man. I know a guy here in Phx that went to GE, and had a hell of a time with their customer service. He mentioned something about them sinking too, but w/o seeing it for myself it heresy.

I've had numerous friends that ran Benson's blocks... never a problem. Benson's has been doing Honda blocks for a LONG time. And he's in Santa Ana, not Santa Fe Springs.

Talk to Earl on this board or Benson themselves, to find out more.

I did. Why don't you search for either of the companies I mentioned and see what the search tool pulls up?

Dan Benson has been sleeving blocks since the rest of them were playing with Hot Wheels.

Seriously he's the man.

You can get a Benson block through Earl or myself for 950 bucks and 50 for shipping if you are not a local CA guy. That includes the final bore and hone to your pistons as well

This is why it is so important to have the right people sleeve the blocks. We have never had one sink and if that one was machined right those sleeves wouldn't have sank. We warranty our installation for 1 whole year.

I have heard tons of 'stories', but no one has ever shown me proof of sinking blocks from any of the above mentioned companies. I'm spending a lot of money on this motor build, if it's an unfounded claim,

Thanks.

I have my block sent off to Dan Benson right now. Going through Earl and he has been nothing but great to deal with. Ive talked to him on the phone numerous times. He called me a couple of times just to make sure all the details were right.

Search around for DH products, you will not be buying from him after you read the stories.

Try searching for anything using only 2 letters(SI, LS, DX, etc...) DH<---

I tried his full name too. Like I said, If you have proof of something, show me. Thanks. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I need concrete evidence, not speculation.
