205/45/16 refers to the tire, not the wheel. the wheel would be a 16x7 with 205/45 tires.

it's all personal opinion. personally i don't like any size wheel and tire combo on a stock ride height civic.

i run 15x7's with 195/50's on my car. anything above 15" hinders performance [acceleration, braking, handling, etc]. but hey, big wheels do look cool....

I am running 215/40/16s Toyo T1-s on volk te37's no rubbing good summer tires (good in the rain too)...although my **** is at stock height just thru the end of winter - then the tein flex go on

205/45/16s aren't bad either - my old tires were 205/40/16s & the ride was a lil rough (short sidewall)

here are some pics of the Toyo T1-s 215/40/16s

Its a good set up. Won't rub or hit fender. Also would have good side wall play for corners.

Car is clean . It looks like a 4x4 without a drop though .

nice pics. I was thinking of going 205/45/16 but 205/50/15 will look much better at the stock ride height. Thanks!

handles good - rides a 'lil rough (very low profile) looks good if your car is slammed... on my car stock height it looked silly

My EM1 has 205/45-16's and its lowered quite a bit. I wouldnt go with 40 series because of teh harsh ride and possible damage to the wheel when hitting pot holes. I already blew a tire when I had 17's and 40's, never again.

If the car is and will remain stock height, then you will want something to fill up the wheel well as much as possible.
