So my amp blew up and I am in need of a new one. I was looking at the Alpine MRD-M501, the Phoenix Gold Octane 8:0:1, and the Hifonics BX 1500D. If you own one of these and could give me some feedback on it by the end of the week I would appreciate it. I would like to have a new amp by next week I just don't know what one. Oh and I have 2 12" infinity 1220's which was powered by a Bazooka EL1500. I am looking for a little more bump because I am getting new subs soon.

i would bet the hifonics is going to put out the most power out of any of those amps.

 

I'm mainly looking for quality, then power. I was leaning towards the hifonics since it was the most bang for the buck, but I have heard that their quality has dropped over the years. Is this true?

 

it dropped compared to the early 90s, but its not at the point where you call it flea market quality. EVOL on this board has a bx1500 and it works fine for him.
