Are new strut/shock refills supposed to be kept strapped (so they are slightly compressed) until mounted ? I found what looks like a good buy on some new OEM stock type refills but the straps are off....maybe older supplier inventory.
Any problem with them being fully extended for a long period ? Fitting 97 EX rear.

I take that to mean unstrapped = hosed ? Hmmmm I'm kinda surprised
