I know that some people hate these types of threads, but I have never made one and what happened tonight just made me laugh. I was sitting in traffic at a light about three cars deep and a slammed beige RSX with a huge body kit and Autozone indiglo guages pulls up next to me. The kid in the passanger seat motions for me to roll down my window, and the conversation went something like this:

pass: is that thing turboed?
me: no, it's normally aspirated.
pass: cool.
me: yeah.
driver: how fast is it?
me: like how?
driver: 1/4 mile.
me: not really sure to tell you the truth, I haven't been.
driver: just for fun, huh? yeah me too (pointing to his ride).
me: yeah.
driver: hey, what color yellow is that? I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE.
me: it's pheonix yellow.
driver: {blank stare}
me: it's a Type R.
driver: oh, gun it!

I didn't, I just pulled away and into the Best Buy parking lot and dropped $400 in a digital camera.

Thinking about it just makes me laugh, the idiots out there. LOL.

What kind of camera did you get? I went to Best Buy and got a $400 Fuji S5100.

My least favorite option is 15 year old kids trying to challenge me on whether it is a real R or not. "Oh yeah, well why don't you have a sunroof? Is that thing an RS or sumpthin?"

 

Pete who cant even count the numerous ricer encounters he has witnessed in the R.

I do the same thing when people try to race me on the street. If they're coming up on me right before they pass me I intentionally slow down a little bit and watch'em fly by me, or something like that.

 

You guys ought to try following a ITR Rally car on a trailer with your R... the whole world wants to race you...
