There's little tabs on the black plugs. 2 on each side. Open them up and the pins will come out like plug A.

What I used after much searching and frustration was a set of O-Ring Scribbers from Autozone, or a Dental pick. Either will work.

Dang jeff...i thought u would have gotten it by now. I have used a paper clip before, but i like a tiny screwdriver so it can give me better control. Just mess with it for a while Jeff and you'll get it. I remember i got it while i was in class...gotta luv boring classes. Also, having the OEM tool is always nice. Make a trip to the dealership.

What do you recommend? A particular brand? I drive by fry's everyday.
It has to have a very fine point because this black plug is a PITA.

Well the Tools and Equipment site is offline so you can't search for it. The Specialty tools department is closed for the rest of the year. So unless they have one out in the bay with the part number on it (doubtful, we sure don't) no one probably isn't going to be much help unless they have it. If you still haven't figured it out after the new year, PM me.

Have you checked a harbor freight or anything yet? Or a specialty electronic or computer store? You can use a small hand pick to push the pin down that holds it in place. That's all we use here.

Hasport has one, but I think they may be out of stock.
I used dentists tool kit. For the small connectors I believe I had to push beneath the plug in the center row, and pull on the wire from the back end.

If you have spare plugs you can just slice them
open with a red-hot exacto-knife...
