H22A1 is OBD I which handles mods alot better than H22A4 motors which are OBD II

Aren't the 92-96 H22's also closed deck, as opposed to an open deck from the 97 forward H22's??? Correct me if im wrong...

JDM are closed deck. Which doesn't mean very much. Its supposed to be better for boost but its really the same, no big deal. However, if you wanna boost, h22a1 is better because of obd1. I am in the process of doing so right now

wrong, closed deck helps more than you know.....your lack of intelligence shows through the fact that you think jdm are the only closed deck blocks, and they are not, all of the obdI h22 jdm or us are closed deck......dont assume things....

closed deck holds the sleeves from warping and bowing (at least at the top) on the very WEAK FOR BOOST h22 frm sleeves....so you will need all the help you can get....

that's a pretty ignorant statement....fact is no matter what deck you have H22a sucks for boost...and it's not because of sleeves, it's because of pistions. While closed deck sleeves or open deck with tabs a la golden eagle that's just good sense, but for average people running N/A motors...it doesn't matter. Hell my fully built H22A4 block was open deck sleeves.
