can i use any TPS or MAP sensor? need fast reply
i gotta 95 dx with a d16 swap... and im throwin codes for TPS and MAP sensor... i was wondering if any obd-1 map and TPs would work??? i think bseries n dseries tps and maps are enterchangable (sp) anyone give me a 100% answer thanks alot guys
I'm using a D-Series TPS and MAP on my B16A and I'm not having any problems, so I would assume that they are interchangable.

maybe you have those sensors plug switched!

did you set the tps back to spec? .45 at idle and 4.5 at wot. as for the map sensor if you got one then swap it if not you can try to check it to see if it bad or not.

-Turn the ignition on
-back probe the middle wire on the tps sensor.
-with the throttle closed it should read .5 volts
-with the throttle completely open, it should read 4.5 volts
If it doesnt, loosen the two screws holding the sensor down, and rotate it till you get the desired readings.
