Default Clutch Problem question

Ok, here goes:

My clutch sorta slips on taking off during regular traffic. It engages rather high on the pedal. It sometimes slips a bit during highspeed driving. But then there are times during hard acceleration where it grips hard enough to jerk my neck.

Question is, would I need to replace the clutch or just the MC which seems to be slowly leaking.

Sounds like you need a clutch, but if the clutch MC is leaking, you'll need to replace that too.

The reason I'm confused is that sometimes it grips really well. Would this happen if I needed a clutch?

i would say the m/c need replacing first if it is leaking, if it fixes it good, if not you needed one anyways and now you will know you need a clutch
a m/c is alot cheaper than a clutch
