Does any one know how many teeth are on a 92-95 D16Z6 Cam gear and how many are on a 96-00 D16Y8 Cam gear.

Also what is a good setting for a little more torque, because I installed my gear retarded it 2 degrees and now it feels like I have no bottom end power what so ever, plus I am running rich to much and need to know if I should tune it out with my V AFC or what?????

 

The gears are the same for 88-01 SOHC D series.

When you retarded the cam did you reset the ignition also?

Retarding the cam moves the power band upward in the rpm range (2-3 retard is perfect). Also try running ignition at 18-19 BTDC which with retarded cam would be fully cranked CCW.
