Default x-box forza motorsports

Since its too cold out for the real race car, i was looking at the x-box website for this new game due out soon...

glad to see x-box will finally have some real tracks including Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta and the full 13 miles of the Ring, and Road America , now if they could happen to have VIR and summit i would be happy

the only ting that keeps me from buying an xbox is the lack of a real racing game for the xbox.

bad-monkey, buy one! This game looks awesome, but even without it, Project Gotham 2 and Toca Race Driver 2 make it worth buying. Even if the games aren't very realistic, the online racing makes sure you'll never go back to PS2.

pg2 = race for kudos
trc2 = oversteer city

I saw the actually gameplay of forza on techtv, it's ok i guess...The only game I have on my PS2 are gt3, japanese gt4 demo, all i need is gt4

Sega GT is a pretty good Gran Toursimo "style" of game for Xbox. (notice I didnt say sim, because gran tourismo is far from one)
Better than gran tourismo in some ways, not as good in others, and definately worht a spin

forza looks like its going to be fantastic, i might have to take the plunge and pick up an xbox

*Rant* I find people don't like TOCA2 because it is too realistic. The cars don't have ABS or traction control so you have to be very careful with the brakes and throttle. Also, the weight balance of the car changes the car's braking and acceleration (i.e. you have to wait for the car to settle before rolling on the brakes). I liked the GT series too but found it to be a little too idiot proof. *end rant*

I would also like to voice my opinion that the XBOX is the best system hands down. Why? Check out http://www.xboxmediacenter.de and http://www.teamavalaunch.com. Just a sample of the crazy mods available for your XBOX.

I haven't found a more realistic game than TOCA. I'm waiting for Forza to come out, but I can't play any other racing games now because they don't feel as "real". Anyone play online? I'm ewaugh on there too, mostly on halo 2 but hit me up if you see me.

Forza looks like it should be fun... in the meantime I've been having a blast with Rallisport2. But after several beers I have to turn it off since I have a tendency to drive the car off a cliff...

That game is really fun. I played the little demo thing for forza at target and it was actually really good. the graphics were by far the best i have seen on a game.

So when you play Gran Turismo, do you only wear one glove?

The engine note in that Arcade version is one of my favorite parts of the game.

I LIVE for the arcade version with the 3 flat screens and the manual gearbox. But I can only afford to go to D&B's every so often so I just play on my Dreamcast at home most of the time.

GT4 > Forza

GT4 was released in Japan yesterday

real tracks include laguna seca, La Sarthe, Motegi ring, Infinion (both layouts), Motegi east and west, several layouts of Fuji, Tskuba (sp?), Suzuka, and the `ring.

A HUGE plus for gran turismo over Forza is the support for the new force feedback wheel with 900 degrees of rotation & a sequential shifter.

X-box can't touch that

I thought everyone knew about this wheel..

It was designed specifically for gt4 and allows for 900 degrees of rotation (defaults to 360 for other games), paddle shift or sequential shifter, progressive brake.

I bought the wheel a year ago at 149.99, I belive you can get them for 99.99-129.99 nowadays. It's a must have for gt4.

Here's my ghetto-fab set up.

I believe the default "standard" rotation range is 200 degrees, similar to most other wheels out there.
