Well I had a mini incident with the fridge in the garage this morning and got a little scratch on the bumper, and me being the **** bastid I`am decided to visit my nearest Acura dealer for some touch up paint.

Aside from the fact they had none in stock, he notified me to my suprise that Y-56 is actually sunfire yellow and NOT pheonix yellow <!>

Naturally my questions now are: 1: is sunfire/pheonix yellow the same friggin color and im confused for no damn reason ?

2: if they arn't what the hell is going on ?

 

i do believe pheonix is y-56p.
Could be wrong, but I think there is a slight difference.

 

Yeah it's the same color I just had the little bottle in my hand it says "Pheonix Yellow Y-56" Make sure you a touchup clear from any auto parts store, because the little touchup you do will end up turning a light yellow Anyways...Hope that helped

y-56 is pheonix yellow.

 

I am pretty sure that they are the same. I went to a body shop to buy a pint of paint and they said it was "sunshine yellow". I would guess that as long as the code is the same, then the color is the same.

Must be a pretty big chip that you need to touch up...
