B-series which gas?
i have a jdm b18c and use only premium gas. i did try to use 87 or 89 octane at first till the motor started to run like crap. then i switch to 91 octane and it ran much better. i guess if you have a jdm motor it does require premium due to its high compression but i wouldnt know about usdm motor though never owned one.
I believe 91 is recognized as premium gas.
Don't know about B18A/B but GSR, SI and ITR motors require to run at least 91 octane gas because of the 10.x:1+ compression ratio.
I'm not saying the car won't run on lower octane fuels, but you might experience ping.
I sure wouln't run anything lower than 91 octane on K20A2 motors.
