my 97 hx sits like it has a after market suspension set up and looks like it has been lowered about 1 inch, i was told that my stock springs might be shot is there any way i can check this my self or would i have to go to a shop?

 

there is no way your stock springs can be short...maybe the last person that had it..cut the springs...u have a pic of it?

If they are stock springs and it looks like you have a drop. The previous owner either cut the springs or heated them up.

 

YEa.. That or your Shocks are hella blown

he didn't say short, he said shot, like dead

 

Your bumpstops might be cut. When I first lowered my car a while back, the directions said to cut the bumpstop. A year later I put my stock springs on with the cut stops, and the car looked slightly lowered.

Then the shocks went out and the car looked even lower. hope that helps.
