tranny grind?

Default tranny grind?

i just got a new clutch in my 91 hatch. b4 the new clutch there was a grind shifting into 3rd, after the new clutch was installed the grind is still still there. how do i fix that grind?

what kind of tranny or u using, cable or hydo?

cable is more likely to grind at higher rpm's, buy new tranny, new gears, throw out bearing my be bad, did u refill the tranny oil...lol

clutch has nothing to do with the gear grind. try using GM syncromesh. i used that in my tranny and it helped out a bit.

Replace the 3rd gear synchronizer.

Or buy a new transmission . . . it's usually cheaper.

GM Synchromesh is a slight fix, but you must continue to baby the tranny and not try to shift at abnormally high RPM's. The best fix is to replace the worn synchros. Contact Gear-Speed...they have carbon synchros for just about every application and they run around $200 for the full set.

its a cable trans. maybe ill look into a DX 5 speed trans. iv already tried heavier oil. how much $ we talkin for one of those, and it will fit my D15 right?
