Default Are the 2000 integra Type R intake cam the same as the 2001 type R cam (CTR SPEC)

Im pretty sure the 2001 usdm type r intake cam has almost identical specs to the jdm ctr intake cam, but im wondering if the 2000 usdm type r intake cam is the same thing. Thanks

some people swear that they are the same, but I do not think anyone knows for SURE, but they are better than 97-98 ITR's. Some people say that 00-01 ITR cam have 2 more degrees of duration than 97-98 ITR's, but still 1 deg. duration less thab CTR's.
and yes, 00-01 ITR should have the same cams. This can easily be verified by calling the dealership and getting a part number.

I think there may be a 1 degree difference between the 01 R and the CTR intake cams.. but I am not 100% sure.

I know for a fact the 01 R cams have 3 degrees up on the 97/98 intake cam.

Either way, IMO.. 3 degrees ain't **** if you got a set of cam gears and a V-AFC.

if the 2001 type r cams are more aggressive than other years, why do they have same hp ratings...does that mean the 2001 type r's are faster??

no.. it's probably just to compensate for stricter emissions equipment

i'v heard that is the same for the 2000 and the 2001. they have tighter emissions crap so to be able to put out the same power the use ctr intake cams in them?

I agree with Mike K. Who really thinks a 01typeR is faster than a 97-98??

I agree with Mike K. Why would 01 type R be faster than a 98 in the first place? Its the same shyt. Maybe the black ones are the real sleepers

It would be faster because generally they dyno 10hp more than the 97-98 R's You always see plots of 170-175 for the '01's and 160-165 for the older ones...

I heard the 00-01 got better cams becuase they added ac stock. Which takes a bit of power fron the car even if not running, so better cams would make up for the little difference.

nah it's just that faster drivers have the yellow. black R owners are pussies who drive slow so as not to be noticed!

yellows are slower cause of that loud azz color has more wind drag.
