I live in NETN. Thats a 15.5ish hour drive for me. Gas is only going to cost $200 for driving there, driving from there to BeaveRun for another track event, then driving back home. I have a 1.6 SOHC Civic, but gas shouldn't cost much for you either.

If you don't want to drive, quit whining and roll out there with the NY/NJ caravan. It is definitely worth the time and money. Sign up, pay,, and make it happen.

1. it's been east coast (more or less) the last 4 years.
2. being in the center of the US it doesn't favor any coast.
3. MAM IS GOING TO STILL BE THERE IN THE SPRING

~Austin~ who could be a little bit prejudice because he's only got a 5 hour drive

9 hour MI convoy with 3 R's, one GSRRRR (lmao), and one modded TL-S. Its gonna be hella fun for the police watchin us.

We prob gonna leave detroit/lansing area and then meet up with the "cone" in chi town. Anyone who wants to join the convoy is more than welcome and would make the whole thing even better.

Yeahh.... about that. A family sedan in a slew of Type-R's.

Nonetheless, we're going to be fully prepared for the police. We definitely need to get a digital police band scanner, V1 (Mishra, Chris both has one, and I've got one, too, with POP2 coverage. We should get a CB radio, too, and get smokey alerts from the crazy truck drivers.

If all else fails, just run like hell. Hehe :D

Wish I could go, but Iowa is a rediculous drive. We tried giving the WC'ers a break last expo, keep it in the east!

Well, they can usually only pull over one car at a time They'd only put up a roadblock if we were all doing 150 or so. (Wouldn't that be a sight?!)

I'll be somewhere in there, and we'll likely see the NJ/NY/NE crowd coming by on I80

I would love to go but if I am driving 12-14hours I am goin some place with water and sand not cornfeilds. the last expo was fun but not worth 14 hours if it was that far away.

I the east coast guys organize something I will be down for a few days though

If it was on the westcoast I'd try my hardest to go, But since its only 14 hours one way, I'll be there.. Just have to find the money

As for having it on the eastcoast again... twice was fine, time for others to enjoy!

waawaawaa. its all about me me me.

the drive is half the fun. plus - and i'm only saying this since you seem to be completely oblivious - we agreed on a rotation back and forth across the country to allow everyone to get their shot. If you missed beaver 2 years in a row, in your backyard, AND gingerman in 02, thats not our fault.

anyone who says driving cross country or halfway cross country or even 10 hours isn't 'worth it' should quit bitchin'. Austin drove from the west coast to beaver last year and I think he had a great time. I think everyone had a great time, and if you didn't - you can't blame anyone but yourself. (accidents and car issues excluded of course, im talking socially)

chris - who is so so so so SO tired of people saying they'll only go if it is 'close to them' with no regard for what is good for the expo community as a whole, and who hopes this isn't the start of a wave of complaining.

Don't like it? organize it yourself some year in the future.

its been 'east' the last three years....

chris - who doesn't think people realize there is more than just east and west coast in this big country.

For once living in MI is ACTUALLY a good thing. Who would have ever thought. Anyone who wants to make a convoy drop a line or get it started.
ITR expo: 300
Gas: 200
Accomadations and food: 200
Going to Expo 5 in a 20 teg convoy: PRICELESS

Tell Brandon (Haliewa Brando) to get on a boat, he can meet you in Seattle.

If your not sure about making the trip out to the expo, then watch this three times and then decide.

His car will be in Hawaii.

I talked to him on the phone about shipping it back up for Expo, but for reasons I won't mention he won't be able to.

Maybe we can talk him into going without his freshly built R for 5 months then he can make it.

Does not compute. Although I'm sure if I knew what the hell you were talking about, it would.
