could it be a problem w/ the laser? I know on say a ps2 it would work yet when trying to play a cd it would not read. I fixed this by increasing the voltage going to the laser. Dunno if this helps but its worth a thought

Let's hear what head unit your using.

How about the obvious? Volume is up? Using an amp? If your using an amp did you plug in the signal wire? Properly? Any wire grounding out? Is there crackling coming from the speakers? Did you press the "Loud" button on the deck? Fuses? If it's a newer model deck there should be a couple fuses on the back of the deck.

Aloha,
Brandon

Have you tried replacing the car with something a little more (H)onda?

The radio works just fine, sounds great - just no sound when I play a CD

It's got to be your laser. I'm sure all the information is in your other post. However, I'm a lazy piece of **** today and do not feel like looking. If it's a new unit, take it back. If it's used then get a new one. Sounds like the lazer went **** up on you, which just recently happened to me. Car decks are built to take abuse and shock but if it happened just right you could knock the lazer loose, break the track that it's on, loosen a wire off of it...

Brandon

I say that the shipping company either dropped it, or you dropped it. Either way, sounds like your up **** creek and you forgot your paddle.

Success

Have to wire the remote power lead to the wiring harness so it sees a constant +12v
