what shops do compression tests?

Default what shops do compression tests?

don't want to buy the tool since i only need to do a quick test. are there shops that do this for u?

yea I had a shop do my compression test. it's up here in the bay area tho. http://racetune.net

i am sure ANY garage or shop can perform it. a compression test is not a very advanced test...

i'd guess an hours labor as it seems to be the minimum. in other words, more than a decent compression tester gauge kit will cost you...

if it cost as much as a compression tester, i'd rather buy the tester. i thought they'll do it for like $5 or something.

doesn't take brains to do it.

you can pick up a good testor for under 20 bucks. i got mine at sears and its always good to have around

places around me wanted the standard $60+/hr....so I went to sears and bought one for $50.

ripoff??? You really think a shop is going to take the time to write up your paperwork, stop whatever big paying job the tech is doing, drive your car into the shop, remove spark plugs and fuse(s), test all 4 cylinders, put back together, do a complimentary vac, and send you on your way for 5 bucks!?
