what shops do compression tests?
yea I had a shop do my compression test. it's up here in the bay area tho. http://racetune.net
if it cost as much as a compression tester, i'd rather buy the tester. i thought they'll do it for like $5 or something.
doesn't take brains to do it.

ripoff??? You really think a shop is going to take the time to write up your paperwork, stop whatever big paying job the tech is doing, drive your car into the shop, remove spark plugs and fuse(s), test all 4 cylinders, put back together, do a complimentary vac, and send you on your way for 5 bucks!?
