Default Steering Wheels...which one are you using, post pics

Well, I decided to spend my Christmas money on a new steering wheel. I have a few questions though.
1. If you remove the air bag steering wheel and replace it with a non air bag wheel, does the passenger side air bag still work?
2. Is the SRS light difficult to remove?
3. Some aftermarket steering wheels come in leather and some in a suede like material called alcantara. The suede like material would be grippier but how does it stand up to wear (sunlight, normal everyday driving, etc.)?
4. Why did you pick the steering wheel you bought?
5. I was thinking about purchasing a Sparco steering wheel...how are these in terms of durability and quality compared to well known brands like Momo?
6. Does Sparco or OMP make hubs or do you just use momo hubs?
7. Are all steering wheels made in Italy (ie. Momo, Sparco, OMP, etc.)? I'm wondering if there are any JDM brands.

Post pics if you can as I'm still undecided...I'm not into flashy colors, I just want something that's not BUS like (like the factory one).

Thanks

1. No.
2. Yes. Just take the light out of the cluster.
3. Suede wheels fall apart and look like **** quickly - leather is the way to go.
4. Because I am stupid
5. Sparco is great - my brother has one and loves it.
6. Momo hub pattern is universal.
7. It dosent make a difference - Italian stuff is the best anyways..

ceas..

from what ive heard, removing the stock wheel should disable the passenger airbag also.....and for the light all you gotta do is remove the bulb....i came across a mugen steering wheel about a month ago, and love it ...but then again you cant get em anymore so thats not an option...check out some of the momo ones. good luck

1. NO
2. NO
3. Don't get suede
4. Smaller diameter and the stock wheel belongs to a golf cart
5. Sparco are pretty good
6. OMP makes their own hubs but Momo will work too
7. not sure... Mugen is discontinued.

I believe it's 320mm.

It's for sale if anyone is interested, w/ hub. Only used 2 months?

A friend of mine had a 96 Civic with aftermarket steering wheels ... and when he got his car in an accident.......the passenger side air bag DID deploy !!!!!
Not sure if it will the same case in an Integra !?

Btw....I use JDM non-srs steering wheels

The other ends of the gauges haven't been hooked up yet - I have been too busy at work to bring my car in to have the other stuff done.

Couldn't you wire a resistor across the wires that used to attach to the airbag to fool the ECU into thinking that the airbag was still there, that way you would'nt have to remove a light, and the passenger airbag WOULD work?? Of course you'd have to find the right resistance to wire in first.

Unlike you some of us wear our seatbelts, and unless you are some big heavy
guy, the odds of you kissing the dash are slim to none.

m00gen. It's comfy. Has these grip things that normal Momos (I've ever found anyway) don't have and the wheel is thicker than most Momos, too. Really nice, and picked it up very cheap from a friend.
