Default LS vs B16A

Alright guys i want some opinion if i can beat my friend's all motor B16A swap hatchback. I have a 94 hatch with a LS motor in it. As of right now the motor is completely stock. Im planning on going all motor although i do have a turbo kit from when i still have the D16z in my car. Just need to buy a new manifold to fit the DOHC. But im trying to put the turbo idea aside for now. My plan is to get some camshaft from either skunk2 or crower along with some valve springs, skunk2 intake manifold, DC 4-1 header, and a AEM cold air intake with a custom exhaust with a ES 2.25 muffler. Now for the specs on my buddy's b16 from what i notice when i was looking at his motor he's got a JG intake manifold, DC 4-1 header, skunk2 or aem cam gears im not sure which ones and i don't know if he has any aftermarket camshaft or the stock ones i didn't ask him and a high flow racing cat he claims that when he bought this motor off this guy the guy told him the head was fully built but that seems like B/S talk to me. Now would it be easier and less money to get all those parts i listed up there to beat him or should i just slap the turbo kit on? The reason why i don't want to put the turbo on is because i wanna run him N/A vs N/A that way if i win he can't say anything like oh your car is turbo that's why. So will i be able to take him with the mods i listed up there? any comments will be great and if u have nothing good to say then keep it to yourself, thanks!!

b18b vs b16a, most of the time the b16's will pull at the end. best bet is to get a good set of cams/valvetrain and a good exhaust. i dont know, wouldnt it be around the same price to go lsvtec?

some crower 403's and some p30s pistons; you'll walk on your buddy every time.
