has anyone here ever purchased an engine from nippon-motors.com? any comments and/or opinions about their delivery time, condition of the engine, quality of service?

i've heard well

 

i actually heard they were not that well to deal with, i heard they ship dirty *** engines. IMHO if i was you i would deal with Steve at hmotorsonline.com ....... i have gotten 3 complete swaps from him and they have all been in pristine condition.. including my b16 in my 89 hatch..... The motor came out of a 91 xsi i think, and it was the cleanest damn used motor i have ever seen, the rear looked brand new.. So yeah props for steve

 

know two people personally that got clean b series from nippon, shipped pretty quickly.

mine came from hmotors, was also in nice shape, shipped fast.

also, however much they sit there and wash the outside, its still 15 years old and needs the gaskets replaced....

but i degress.

 

watch out because nippon motors stamps XXXXXXX over the engine serial number, so if a cop pulls you over your going to have a hard *** time explaining that one...that situation happened to a friend of mine, his car got impounded and he had to pay storage fees cause of it...

 

i've got 2 b16 swaps from them, very clean, and very strong.

That kind of scares me...

 

yeah the stamping over the engine code is not too cool with me either. thanks for the input

 

I have non-Honda experience with them. My buddy got his 13bt from them and had no problems. They shipped it fast. He's been beating the **** out of it since march and hasn't had any major problems. I'm planning on buying a 13bt from them soon myself.

 

We have gotten several clean motors from them!

 

I got junk from them back in 99/00 and since 00 I have been using steve at HMO.
