Default Uberdata shift light ???

Im looking into a shift light that goes off at 8000rpm.

I dont want a huge one that blinds me, just something to look out for that will blink and catch my eye.

I hear if you run uberdata (which i am) that you can set it up, so the CEL will flash at a certain RPM.

This sounds like an excellent idea for a free DIY shift light. I could always wire from the Cell to a small Blue LED that would help catch my attention more

Anyone have any info on how to do this? Im a uberdata noob and only know how to change RPM/Vtec points and load up bin's and such.

Please dont give me links to other places unless its very specific. Thankyou!

EDIT: after looking in my program, i see under the 'Rev Limits' tab down in the bottom right there is something about a shift light...

How do i set it up? It looks like this... (using version 1.7 btw)

Shift Light

29-----1st RPM
158----1st Speed
29-----2nd RPM
158----2nd Speed
29-----3rd RPM
158----3rd Speed
29-----4th RPM

The 29 and 158 numbers were already in there.. I have a hunch, if say i want a 8k shift light in each gear, i would just change 1st,2nd,3rd,and4th RPM to 8000.. Right?? Do i just leave speed alone.

Thanks!

you will have to change the speed for each gear. i think most peple set it to.

1st - 20mph
2nd - 40mph
3rd - 60mph

if you lower your shift light rpm, you will have to lower the speed for that gear also. the speed helps the function to know what gear the car is in.

you can just leave the MPH how it is like 0 and 178 so that the light goes on for RPM and not MPH......

yeah then the heater vent would light up, that would be cool too. But it would restrict my precious heat flow (its wayyyy below freezing here).

Plus the ubersetup is free Ill see how this treats me, i might put a small LED light somewhere to help grab my attention more, something that wont draw too much power!!

Thanks for the idea.
