i've got comptech usa header for rsx the k20a2 came from, would that fit on the k20 swap into an ek, or does it need modifying or it wont fit at all and i have to get a diffrent one?

 

Im doing my swap , I think the only thing Im going to have to do is purchase THE HEADERS . If you come across a way to get comptech headers with a little modification let me know. My friend had bought his from hasport , but dam $400 thats no joke. did you purchase ur wiring from hasport-hybrid or r-crew , or u made ur own ! Dude let me know.

 

well i just got the motor today and it came with blinging *** comptech headers and i like them and i wanted to know if i can use them or have to sell them

 

how much did you purchase it for , hope you got a good deal , but like I said you dont really know anything about the wiring? are going to purchase it or make ur own ?

 

i dont know yet about the wiring, i hope there is a way around it, dont really want to spend money on the hasport wiring kit. so any one got answer to my header problem

 

The comptech head wont fit if you are doing a K swap into an EG, EK.. there may be a way you could cut sections out or something and reweld but i have no idea.. i just bought the hasport one and was done with it.... however, on that note... the hasport k swap header is crap. it has 2.25 collector and its just mig welded and ceramic coated. if you really want to have a nice header buy the RCrew header.. it is awesome and makes way more power.. and as for swap harness.. just buy the RCrew harness. it is cheaper than the Hasport one and it is very easy to install. he make the harness with all the honda color wiring and all you have to do is splice like 6 wires..

 

aww man you sure this header wont fit with mods? i really like it, and yes ive seen the rcrew ones

im pretty sure that you will need the header to the tsx, as far as i know. i read the sport compact car with the k20 in an ek and they used a comptech header for the tsx.

correct me if im wrong anyone.

 

Yeah the tsx header's only fit on the Eg's plus it wouldnt be such a bad idea to try but I heard that its cause of the crossmember on the ek's that kill the whole thing! Thanks for the header info that its alot better then hasport , cause I was close to ordering mine ...Sweet keep me inform or all of us On what not to buy and which is better .......
