Warranty
depends on dealership...mine will not void the warranty. if i install an exhuast, they void everything from the header and back. if i install an intake, they said i better not show up with a hydrolocked motor. they seem to be nice for IHE. internal mods = bye bye warranty
The dealership has to prove that the mod caused the damage. For example if you had i/e/h and you brakes failed.....then its covered, intake is sort of tricky because any damage could be pointed towards something getting sucked in (i.e. water) I have i/e/h and had a full rebuild done with out a question asked other than what brand they were because i think the service manager was an enthusiast
I worked at Honda for some rime and if you go in there with a blown motor and you IHE you my be SOL! Like the other guy said. If you have that stuff and your lights go out dont worrie. But if your diff goes out then take it all off if you can
True story. My bro was driving my dads vett 03' Zo6, before we sold it. and the radiator cracked. the dealer didnt cover it, they said since we dropped the car, they wont cover it. And i asked a sales person from where i bought my car, and they said, anything that connects to the engine, u lose your warranty. Good luck.
I doubt many dealers would deny you warranty work on your engine if you have suspension work, especially a radiator crack. We had our civic with a 100,000 bumper to bumper because it was certified when we bought it...we had every bolt on you could think on that car, and we brought it in a few times for warranty work...throttle cable freyed (got it replaced), door lock screwed up and they replaced it (we had quite a system in the car too so it wouldnt suprise me if it had something to do with it)...from my experiences, warranty work is usually no problem, but doesnt mean some dealers arnt dicks about it...i know many domestic dealers tend to be questioning when it comes to warrantied work, like they refuse to belive that their cars could be infaliable...
