Tough choice guys... what set of mods to get next?
Okay, I need to finish up with my new engine. I figure its going to take me 2 more "stages" before its complete. In all I still need:
-aftermarket intake manifold (AEBS)
-65+mm throttle body
-free flow cat
-cat-back exhaust (am using stock right now)
-2 layer head gasket (raise CR by .4)
-Cams
-Cam gears
Now I figure I will break buying that stuff up into 2 parts, or "stages" if you will. Since it ill end up costing me about the same for either "stage", I’m asking which I should do first? One would assume that the stock exhaust would seriously choke an engine that’s not only bigger then what it was designed for, but will be running aggressive cams. On the other hand, the cams will net me the most HP out of any of the other mods...
But I digress.
Now, I found a great deal for the cams I want (buddy club stage 3+), that includes shipping AND a set of BC cam gears. Since this is considered "head work" I would also have the 2 layer gasket installed, which is an additional 150 for parts/labor.
-However-
For around the same amount of money, I could get a very nice cat-back exhaust, free flow cat, intake manifold and throttle body.
So I put it up to you, SvA. What should I do? What makes more sense? None of this is written in stone, so if you can recommend a different set of parts to purchase in a different order, please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
-joe
