yes i know anwered many times probably, mpfi help a.s.a.p please!!
ok the only thing keeping me from finishing the swap is the TPS plug, ive been searching for the answer but i only get " the green plug with 3 wires goes to the tps, you must extend it and switch the wires around." first of all the only plug with three wires is clearish not green, so is this the right plug?: plug facing up and from left to right: yellow, red, grey. after should it be RED, yellow, grey?
thanks.
thanks.
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by MPFI Writeup »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">-Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) wires need to be extended, the TPS is a black sensor on the side of the throttle body, there are 3 wires going to it, extend those, always solder and use heatshrink. On the TPS plug on the DX harness you will see 3 wires going to it, yellow, red, and green, in that order (if you are looking at the top of the clip from left to right on the DX clip). Depin and switch the green and yellow wires around so now the order is green, red, yellow. This is because the DX TPS sensor works in the reverse of the MPFI one, so if you didn't do that your car would think it was at redline when it was suppose to be at idle. So if you have that problem you know you skipped this step. </TD></TR></TABLE>
but i completly took out my engine wiring harness and i cannot find a 3 wired plug with
red, green, yellow just instead of green its grey at that i think its a ground?

dude, HELMS MANUAL is your friend.
if you can "no longer find" the plug, then you need to go to a junkyard and get one, then wire it up.
