Default AEM Tru-Power pulleys???

ok, I am about to purchess the AEM Tru-Power pulleys from a guy from another forum, there brand new, never used, he wants $150 for them, I want to put them on my b18c1 gsr motor, just wandering what will these pulleys do?... and if you have them on your motor can you comment on them? and also, last but not least, do you have any pictures of how will it look like on a b-series motor, I know how they look like but I want to see it on the motor, just for the hell of it...

at the momment I have a Edelbrock Victor 70mm Throttle Body and a Edelbrock Victor X Intake Manifold... thats it...

I know pulleys are supose to take the stress away from the motor, but what I mean is, do you think there good pulleys?... or would you sujest something else?... do you have these pulleys on your motor and what have they done for you, as in HP wise?...

They don't give you much horsepower. They gave a 4cyl. Accord 1-2whp. Yes, it does take stress away from your motor, but I think an application like this works better if you have more modifications on your motor. I had some pulleys on my old Civic(Ex), I didn't feel a difference. I've read RSX owners say they didn't feel a difference on their motor.

If you have a system it's not good to get the AEM pulleys 'cuz they underdrive your alternator. I'll probably be going with an Unorthodox(I might go AEM) crank pulley, and I might even go with an Alternator pulley, also 'cuz I plan to have no system or just OEM replacements on my project.

its actually a engine dress up kit no?

as i know it doesnt make hp to your motors.. you wont feel no power .. i had them on my teg.

Don't use the alternator pulley, it will make ur batter weaker.. just us the powerstering one. it will be better!

I have one right now and I am going to get rid of it to replace it w/ a set from Unorthodox. The Alt. pulley by its self offers pretty much no gain. But the pair should be a little better then just One. I should re-sell for an OK price, I see them alot on show cars.

I have put on/sold tons of sets of AEM pullies and never been able to tell a difference. I was how ever able to notice a change with the Unorthodox setup. I was the only person I know willing to run them though since the internet masses swore that they would kill a motor...blah blah blah.

i will second to do some research and probably spend your cash elsewhere. Since your only mods are a manifold that is way too big mated to a throttle body that is overkill I would read read read before you buy anything else or you and your wallet are going to loose interest in this hobby fast. Choose a purpose, a budget, and a realitstic goal and then design your set up as a package...not a conglomerate of what parts you could afford to slap on next. My .02.
