y8 intake manifold on a6
Sup Everyone. I searched around and was unable to find exactly what is needed to use the y8 intake manifold on the a6. Its hard to search this topic cus u cant use a6 or y8. But yea, from what i've gathered, i need the intake manifold, throttle body, fuel rail and fpr from the y7 or y8. Anything else? Is this all correct? Thanks in advance!
Yea i was aware of that. The bolt patter changed in 92 didnt it? I might end up sendin my y8 throttle body and just get it ported another 4mm by MaxBore.
Thanks alot for the right-up Mellon
. And yea I'm gonna look into that b18 tb, my buddy has one port matched to his y8 mani and says it makes a big difference.

Another question, since the skunk mani is for 92+ would i need 92+ fuel rail, fpr etc, same stuff as y8, if i got that one? Thanks

Everything from the Y8 manifold will work on the A6 ncluding the injectors.
To run the Y8 injectors you would have to switch out or modify your OBD0 plugs to accomodate the OBD2 injectors and delete the injector resistor box from the circuit.
You may need to get creative to make the throttle cable work most people just flip the bracket over and make it work like that.
Purge solenoid is the only thing I'm not sure about. It's mounted on the Y8 fuel rail.
At worst you would have to use your stock firewall mounted one.
The 92~95 fuel rail has different mounting locations than the Y8. If the manifold has provisions for then it might work.

WTF?
Anyways....If you want...go with the Y8 manifold, Y8 fuel rail, matching obd and injector type to your setup, 92+B-series throttle body.
