Default Shud i change my Comptech muffler b/c of my 2.5" piping

i have jdm 4-1 headers and 2.5" custom piping all the way to my comptech street pro muffler

.....is this muffler restricting my flow by a lot? or what?
what's the interior piping diameter of the comptech muffler?

thanks

I had a Comptech catback system, which I sold for several reasons:
1- I got tired of the rumble
2- I wanted some thing stock looking. I do not want a flashy car that will get stolen or broken into. I had to leave my car parked overnight and I was always afraid of what could happen to it. I've heard of people getting the stuff stolen from the driveways. My very next door neighbor had his Caddy stolen from his driveway night!!
3- I wanted a custom pipe since I also have a JDM header with a 2.5". I had a custom 2.5" pipe made all the way to the muffler. I am using an ITR muffler now which is 2.25".

To answer you question, I do not think it's restricting it, maybe a lil. You can also sell your Comptech rear section for like $200 and buy a Magnaflow SS muffler (2.5") from SMSP (Dave) for $98. You would then have a 2.5" muffler like you want and it should not cost you anything if you sell the Comptech. SMSP also sell and aluminized Magnaflow for $70. You should end up with some extra cash to put back in your pocket.

at the bottom their is a dyno of the stock itr exhaust versus a SMSP cat back system

there is very minimal gains

why dont u dyno your car with and without a muffler

Try the ES muffler, its like 90 bucks and you can get it 2.5" in and out. I have the dc jdm with custom 2.5" all the way.
