how do I inspect a crank? pics of the bearings inside
Too much eccentricity on the rod big-end?
What does the bearing half on the cap-side look like? Same mirrored wear pattern?
Is that a main bearing in that rod, or does that rod have an oiling hole?

A machine shop can inspect it and micropolish the journals for like $40 bucks. If your reusing it with fresh bearings i would def get it micropolished. Its cheap and it will be much nicer, plus they inspect it !

To check for cracks on the crank: Magnaflux testing is where you spray a die on the crank wipe it off and the look at it under a black light. If you see a glowing line then thats were a crack is. Have the journals polished too.
