jdm/mugen parts
Some people think JDM parts is rice and that Mugen parts dent the wallet. It doesn't mean they don't appreciate it, they think the parts are unnecessary.
For instance...I see mooogen as bling with functionality; would I buy? No, only because there are parts out there that perform just as well if not better, for less. I.e. Deisel jeans vs. dickies....
Mugen parts are built for racing, but when people load their cars up with mugen/spoon/etc... and just drive the car to the store like a grandma, thats when people give them ****.

theyre all good companies, thats why we all know about them. if they were shitty, they wouldnt be so popular. plus, it depends on the part. let people hate on the jdm thing, but i think whoever talks bad about jdm or rice really just needs to quit hating on peoples taste. hotrodders dont do it, so ys our generation so mean to each other?

well its just really the name. you pay for authentic name brand. dont get me wrong, there are replicas and some things that work just as well but its just the name and the flavor of the person. it may be pricy but you get the props for having them. to me, the haters on name brand things and JDM things hate because they cannot afford it or its just not their flavor. it all DEPENDS on the person.

I can't believe it would bother someone so much, since it's not their car or their money.

Some people tend to hate on the people who buy mugen/spoon/etc parts just for the bling factor. Dont understand why people hate it because its not their money or their car. Everyone has their own taste.

jdm usdm edm whatever "M" mugen spoon apc hks rota...........personally it shouldnt really matter, what kinda parts you have on your car the car you build is what you imagine your project car to be, its cool to have all the authentic parts but not everyone can afford to have the bling stuff, so you might settle for replicas that look just as great or even better it's really prefference.....it's your canvas throw what ever color and use what ever brushes you like to create your "MyDM".

Here are some facts:
If you pickup the july issue of Honda tuning magazine, you will find the 2004 Mugen S2000 on the cover. Inside they tell about the amazing carbon fiber hood, hardtop, front & rear bumpers, seats, and all the engine goodies that mugen sells for that car (I/H/E). The hardtop alone was $4500.
With the car strapped in, and all the hardware pofessionaly installed by King Motorsport, the car hit the dyno. The headers, exhaust, and intake had been added to the car (an intake that cannot be used without the $3500 hood & front bumper to clear it), the car actually dynoed with LESS horsepower than hondas stock 2004 test muel. The car did, however, get awesome reviews in the sound department. They said that 8000 rpm sounded more like 10000.
Here are some opinions:
Now I don't know about you guys, but I cannot find it within myself to pay 5 or 6 thousand dollars for parts that don't do anything but impress people for all the wrong reasons.

IMO rocking replicas is posing. Its like going to a club with a fake rolex. I am not saying all replicas are bad. But if you got a ebay CAI dont put a AEM decal on it, or put spoon center caps of your rotas.
