I am no fab. guy so I am posting this for some expert advice. I've included a couple of pics of the welds. I am basically just wondering if those will be okay or do i need to smooth them out with some kind of tool.

i thought they were okay but then when i got a closer look i started thinking about if it should be smoother inside. let me know please!

kind of looks like its patched up, that's what im worried about

 

it might looked patched up to fill voids and make it smooth ,i would do a once over with a carbide just to smooth things out some more.

 

i have the same manifold, dont worry about it. If he ceramic coated it like he did mine, you cant smooth it out without removingthe coating. the slight bumps wont disrupt flow enough to even matter

 

i know he patched it up from the inside cuz on the outside he had to dig into the tubing a little bit to make room for the bolts, otherwise you wouldnt be able to slip the bolts on there.

this is my first turbo project so maybe im just paranoid or something. hopefully it holds up when i put it on this spring

yes it's ceramic coated. it looks really good. like i said maybe im just paranoid so i decided to throw these pics up.

 

yeah, i dont think its anything to worry about. I'll have mine on my motor soon. i cant wait

 

if thats bailhatch's mani dont worry about the quality! His manifolds are A+++++. Im running one and ill be running 20psi or so.

 

It'll be fine, I wouldn't grind it.

 

yep, bailhatch. i'm runnning one too (well soon to be in the next few weeks) 38mm tial, t3/t04e. I'll probably post in the fi forum when i get me setup near completion

 

yeah i bought the mani + a t25 turbo from him. turbo looks good just wasnt sure bout the mani.

if it breaks...I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE BAILHATCH! muuuaahaha
