poorly installed timing belt question
swapped a d15b with another d15b and used the old distibutor. I got rid of the old engine b/c of the timing belt and the it had over 300,000 miles on it. I installed the timing belt on the old d15b and the crankshaft pulley fell off. after the reinstall the old d15b never ran the same(i think i ruined the cranshaft). Now the new engine want start. However the starter does turn. The distibutor does rotate when trying to start.

So you installed the same timing belt on the new D15 or a new one?
If you are using the old one, use a new one.
As for the starting, get a compression leak down test, make sure the engine is completely at TDC, and make sure your spark plug wires are in the correct place on the distributor.
Firing order is 1,3,4,2.
