Default Snow in Houston?

They say it might happen! Thing is, we are not use to it. The most serious problem is that the temperature will be below freezing for over 48 hours.

Regarding my cooling system, shall I:
Just top off the antifreeze?
Go to a service center and have them do a colling system flush (about $60)?
Do it myself? (never did it before, would need directions.)

I have a 95 Accord LX

Make sure you have some good tires!

I have my radiators flushed every two years. If its in that time range, then I would say you are alright....

I live in Michigan, and it hasnt been over 10 degrees in about a week, we just got 8" of snow last night and its about 8 degrees outside with a windchill below 0....yikes!

chances of snow or sleet in houston from now until tomorrow night is damn close to nothing. if you happen to run across some patches of ice and start to slide, just remember to NOT hit your brakes. that would be BAD... counter-steer and hope for the best.

we just got about 20 inches here in southern indiana...fun to drive in, makes me feel like a rally driver...the colder the better in terms of performance...engines run great in colder weather...

Anyway, do the flush yourself. Unless you are lazy. Or don't have a suitable place to work.
