Your best bet is to use the search TOP Right of the site. BEST Is relative. If you want to just go fast NA without going crazy and without haveing to run a built motor etc. Just drop in a B18C5 ( provided you have the funds which you say is fine ) and throw some bolt ons on. Or if you dont want to shell out the cash for the C5 do a full bolton GSR B18C1 you will have a 13sec car easy with either of those setups.. H22 I wouldnt mess with personally in a CRX.

Question:
What's the BEST engine for my Honda?

Answer:
125cc Honda dirt bike motor. It weighs under 50lbs, revs to 10000rpms, and makes 320hp/liter.

There, now that we solved the question that is constantly on everyone's mind, let's talk about pizza.

Seriously now, the best engine for your honda is WHATEVER YOU CAN AFFORD TO BUY!

If you have $1000, DOHC ZC.
If you have $2000, get a 1st gen b16a. It'll cost that much to get it in.
If you have $4000, get a GSR/B18C1.
If you have $5500, get a ITR/B18C5.
If you have $10K, and no use for your car for a month or two... get a K20.
Edited for the Whiners:
This is NOT a complete list, as there are mini-mes, LS-VTEC swaps, budget/poor man's ITRs, etc. Use the damn search button a bit more religiously.

What's the best engine for boost... the one that gets TUNED properly.
What's the best engine for drag racing... the one you spend the most money on making FAST.
What's the best engine for road racing... same thing.
What's the most reliable engine... the one you MAINTAIN religiously.
What's the cheapest engine... the one that's in your car.

There, hopefully when searched, this thread will pull up so people will stop making threads about stupid crap like "what's the difference between a GSR and a B18C5"...the oil caps. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Do you want to stay ALL MOTOR or BOOST? If your goal is just to run low 13s or low 12s get a B18B or B16 and boost it. If you want all motor build an LS/VTEC or a GSR. If you dont want a built motor and just want to go fast all motor without getting insane on the price do a bolt on GSR or a Type R. Not sure what else you want to know.

If you read what he said you would realize he wants to stay N/A. Forget they type R swap. Throw a GSR in there. Work from there

so you wanna run low 12s all motor but you dont have enough money to boost? so you have enough money to build a 12 second all motor street car? i just dont understand how you have enough money to put an h22 in a crx or build an all motor 12 second car but not enough money to boost.
